re: NYC with kids

I take my kids to dinner all the time in Manhattan, you shouldn't have any problems. Go early, before 6:30 and you should be fine. You're gonna want to avoid the Michelin starred places of course but there are plenty of really good reataurants in neighborhoods where people actually live, like soho, the west village, etc where locals eat with their kids. I took my kids to Perry St, a Jean George reataurant, Christmas day for dinner and had a great time. Just go early and you should be able to basically eat anywhere you want.
