im not sure a kid menu exists for picky eaters. isn't that the whole point of a kid menu?

I don't think I was clear in my original post. Research has shown that for the most part, places that offer a kids menu are also the places that a very pedestrian themselves, such as pizza, bbq, hamburgers, or the Applebees/Chilli's type places.

I'm trying to find something that strikes a balance, or at the least a place that would be able to accommodate the kids even if a true "kids menu" isn't available.

I guess a better original post would have been "People that took your kids to NYC, where's a good place to eat that isn't a chain or a pizza joint"

most places will usually make some pasta and red sauce, or a burger and fries for a kid. I mean unless you are taking the kids to La Bernadine or something, you should be fine.
