sorry for the detour, Zach, but how did immediate replacement of your dog go? we lost ours last night.

Sorry to hear that. How old was your dog and what breed?
The new puppy is taking over the house. He is an Australian Shepherd. I've got scratches all over my body because when I lie down on the couch to watch TV he dive bombs me like a Kami Kazi pilot and he's got those really sharp little puppy claws.

He is getting along very well with the 3 year old lab, who know considers him her baby.

I highly recommend that when you decide to get a new pup take your time and visit no-kill private shelters as well as public shelters.

Don't get impulsive. It's like picking a spouse. Don't 'settle.' The pup has to really have a 'wow' factor. Good luck, my friend. Some dog is gonna hit the lottery with you.

10 1/2 yr old schnoodle (schnauzer/poodle mix). the complete inside lap dog, 12 lbs. was with me when i was at home on IV therapy for a few months when she was a pup, and we bonded.

i think it would be wise to wait until jumping in again, if we do. but i knew you did and wanted to know how it went. thanks.
