I do mobil1 high mileage or whatever. Change every 9 months or 10k. Usually hit 9 months first. I've read that synthetics have more detergents and if you just start putting it in after Dino for a ton of mileage there is a chance of clogging. I put a mix the first time or two and then went straight synthetic.
