honestly, i've been told through the grapevine that this potential employer does have that concern

At some point it will come back to haunt you, man, but if you got one more good prospect in the pipeline that might seem long term, or if you're ready for that, do it.
I was actually getting recruiting messages from your old employer, but I think they're just looking for anyone in roadway. I'd entertain it, though.

As long as you csn bullshite your way through it, have reasonable reasons for switching i.e. career advancement, opportunity to grow, etc, then you'll be fine. I've been told my resume looks bad but I've had valid reasons for each change.
Hell, some of my job durations are as short as 6 months.
You'll be set in this new gig, like I've told you before. Plus, I the past, you've expressed your desires to be on that side the fence.
