What the hell? 
I guess that is a good side effect. I hated the smell and feel at first, but I liked it after a week. I honestly would have given up on wet shaving if I hadn't put so much money into it.
Now, I can honestly say that I get a better shave every day (that I shave) than I had ever gotten in my live. I have a scar on the bottom of my chin that was impossible to shave around with multiple blade cartridges.

I use the green Proraso. Also have the green Proraso pre shave but I use it as an after shave too. Leaves a refreshing feeling for much longer on your face.
