Check Amazon. That's were I got my Merkur, stand, brush, and blades from... Before I brought my stand, I laid it on its side with most of the hair (mine is a badger hair brush)over the sink so it doesn't flatten. My brush and the stand are Escali (I think thats how it is spelled) and are great. The key is finding the right water/soap ratio to make a great lather. Some may benefit from a pre-shave lotion (baby oil works great) to soften the hair. Check the review on Amazon for the Merkur 180 - it is one of the best and most detailed...
My first shave with it was far superior to any my Mach 3 ever did. Will never go back!

I am between the merkur 38hd or the EJ DE 89lbl. I'm looking into the 180 also. Not sure which direction I want to go. Trying to figure out the pros and cons of each different brand/model.
