Never register to vote? Skip voting? Or just give up?

I've only voted on amendments to the state constitution.

Voting is useless

It's not as if he's not interested in what's going on, but he's under no delusion that he has any control over it.

"If voting made any difference they wouldn't let us do it."

Mark Twain realized the fewer a-hole that go to the polls the better it is for the system. Universal suffrage and encouraging the dolts to participate is a disaster for a civil society.

My DIL. She's not a citizen and sees no need to become one. She has all the rights that I do except the right to vote and she's not interested in voting.

That's true.

The irony of expanding voting rights to give people "a voice" is that it's diluted it to almost nothing. It also became easier for them to control elections.

But during the 2012 Republican primary campaign he was constantly on this board encouraging voting for RP.

Either he's lying now or he lied back then.

I remember it. Maybe he had a chance to vote in the primary and didn't. Idk. I'll let him answer for himself.

I would say unless you are in a swing state your vote for president probably is pretty meaningless. But I still vote anyway because I'm already there to vote for local issues. It's not an inconvenience for me to cast my vote for president. It takes all of a couple of seconds.

In 40 plus states during a presidential election it is.

Smaller elections and state elections are different.
