Anyone else had to deal with back issues? (bulging/herniated discs)

Got in a wreck earlier this month (rear ended, high speed double impact on the interstate) and it messed my back up something fierce. MRI results came back and said I have bulging discs in my neck, upper back, lower back, and possibly middle back.
Severe pain. Meds aren't doing much and I don't like taking them.
Options are therapy, epidural steroid shot, or, if nothing else works, surgery.
What's the best course of action? Which gets the best relief with the fullest recovery?
What am I looking at in the future?

Sucks.
My back issues are minimal.
Most people scoff at chiros, but have you though about it?
Try Sonnier Chiropractic.

Get surgery. Fixes that shite like 99% of the time.

Upper back? That is highly unlikely. Did you see the pics?
Try therapy & anti inflammatories first

What levels are you bulging disc at?
Here's the order:
Treatment, rest and meds first which it sounds like you have already done then MRI and injections if necessary, surgery is always last

Your best course of action is to do the therapy. It has the most evidence behind it's effectiveness and surgery is not even an option unless you fail therapy.
Steroid shots are only temporary relief, six months maximum. And a lot of people just use them so it's easier to get through therapy.

About 5 years ago I hurt my back lifting a sofa. took a couple days for the pain to really kick in but when it did I could not sleep would wake up at night in tears.
Had mri and found out I had two bulging disk in lower back. after a year and a half or PT and three epidural injections and so many NSAID's that I now fight gastritis I can function but still have pain at night and sleep on heating pad a few nights a month
what really gets me is everyone seems to think you are full of it when you say you have a back problem

I believe I have a herniated disc (webmd the symptoms) I have a doc appointment friday to get xrays done to confirm. I first hurt it a few months ago doing deadlift. Then I reinjured it pulling on a deer on Christmas day.

Don't do epidural. Horror stories of irreparable damage.
I have a bulging disc lower back kills me at times. I Just live with it sometimes I'll go months with no pain the a week or two pretty bad.

Go see Dr. Oberlander at The Neuromedical Center and get his opinion on what course of action you should take
I would rather have someone whose specialty involves the nervous system treating me when the injury involves the spinal cord than someone whose specialty is the skeletal system.

After multiple surgeries, years of treatment, many meds the only thing that helped me for long periods was Airrosti.
