"BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) -
Heavy congestion is reported at Airline Hwy (US-61) and Gwenadale Ave (Near I-12), due to an accident.

According to witnesses on the scene, an SUV crossed over the median on Airline Highway around 2:30 Friday afternoon, knocking over a light pole and ramming an 18 wheeler, causing fuel leak.

The female driver, the only person in the SUV, was apparently having a seizure when bystanders pulled her out of the vehicle and away from the leaking fuel.

Baton Rouge Police and fire and EMS responded to the accident. No word on the woman's immediate condition.

The accident has caused major delays as hazmat crews respond to the fuel on the roadway.

Motorists are urged to take a different route and to avoid the area."
