What he did with the Panthers was extremely impressive. Just 1 of those things where the coach was there so long that it got kind of stale. Like Reid with the Eagles and Fisher with the Titans. All are great coaches, but they kind of ran their course with those teams.

But, Fox is a defensive minded coach. They are in the bottom half of the league in defensive stats and in ppg given up.

The reason the Broncos are where they are at isnt because of Fox and that D. Its because of that offense and Manning. And I doubt he does anything with the offense. I mean when he wasnt coaching due to his health, the team was the exact same as it was with him.

You could put just about any 1 of the 32 head coaches, 32 OCs, and 32 DCs in the entire NFL as the head coach of the Broncos and they would most likely still be here. Manning could very well go down as the smartest QB ever to play in the NFL and the offense is just ridiculously talented. And Fox didnt really have much to do with that.

But Fox did draft Vonn Miller, no brainer, but also drafted Julius Thomas and Virgil Geen in the 2011 draft. In the 2012 draft he drafted Derek Wolfe and Danny Trevathan, 6th rounder.

But what the Broncos did this year doesnt have that much to do with John Fox. That said, I still would call him a very good / potentially great coach. Hes def not a "mediocre" coach.

I don't know how, after watching the Saints last year anyone can discredit a head coach like you're doing right here.
