and now you're trolling. Congrats. You came in, asked for evidence, received negative feedback, and then moved on to childish behavior.

Nice.

Honestly, this board is usually pretty civil and is open to a lot of discussion. If you want to talk recruiting, I'll talk with you, but don't troll. You're fans are welcome over here and your opinion is respected, but let's at least be civil.

Not all were civil... The article linked was 4 years old, many rules have changed over the course of the last 4 years.

As far as Young and Dupre... Both have visited UCLA multiple times on their own dime and are now on an OV to UCLA on the last weekend before NSD. I don't think it's out of the blue that many UCLA fans think we are leading for these guys. If LSU was going to get them I think they would have already committed to the "home town" school.

See, this discussion is more appropriate. We both know that recruiting is fluid and there are no sure things. What you said above was to directly troll someone else.

However, I agree that UCLA is a threat for Young and also Dupre. To say otherwise would be inaccurate.

That is a link to a 2010 article. I wouldn't be surprised if the rule has been changed.

You asked for a link then you deflected it after getting said link. How about you bring the link to the current "changed" rule that you aren't surprised about.

You might want to check out recruiting pics around the web....you don't see more than the head coach and two assistants in any. Usually it's just two coaches until they are putting on the full court press.

But the author of that SB Nation article said WE were desperate. I guess not desperate enough to send the whole staff to a basketball a couple thousand miles away.

Can you link me to the rule that being on the same flight as a recruit or staying at the same hotel is a violation?

Bruins Nation is probably the worst place to get UCLA "news". It's an opinion blog that's the equivalent of the Fox News of the UCLA online community. I'll say this: if LSU/Cameron's move works, then it's brilliant and worth whatever minor violation could come of it. If the kids resent the perception of having a minder from LSU on their trip and it backfires, then it's not brilliant.

At the end of the day, recruiting is like a hot dog. You hopefully enjoy the outcome, but the process that went into making it possible is "murky" at best. And that goes for LSU, UCLA, and damn near every other school.
