So, I recently picked up a few shares of KMR. It does a quarterly dividend that is paid out in stock. This is not a dividend reinvestment plan but actual stock dividend.

My question, my purchase was very small, I have fewer shares then will net 1 single share off of stock dividend.

Do most companies offer partial shares in this situation or is it exchanged for a cash dividend?

TIA.

Bump for no response.

I know a few stocks pay out dividends in the form of stock. From my research, it appears the dividend is treated like a split(creation of shares). Still curious if anyone has any experience.

I own partial shares in things due to this. Yes. They will offer partial shares.
