Quit trying to make it sound like its about the kids....you know dam well where the problem was and she payed for it. It was handled yesterday in a professional manner and though I think the split sucks at least everyone was involved. Now I think everyone can move on without much hostility

all this talk about watering down, etc. I dont see why more people arent advocating to do away with classifications and only have 1 true champion. I mean that's what we want right, 1 champion.

Question is when will the private schools get enough of this crap and totally pull out of the LHSAA?

Private schools need the LHSAA more than the LHSAA needs them.

Lol why? They've got enough money to separate, plus I don't see how it would be any harder to put brackets together than the way it is set up currently. Actually would be a lot easier because there would be only 2 or 3 divisions.

In 1978 Kinder beat Curtis in the Semi Finals at West Jeff Stadium. It's Curtis' only loss in the Semi finals. The Patriots are 34-1 in Semi Final games.

Seeing my alma mater make their second state semi-final was more satisfying than watching Winnfield lose before the Dome, but not by much.

Well being knocked out by them the year they went to the dome off a TERRIBLE call still hurts. Maybe noone of this split happens if we could've knocked em out.

And their was a meeting held directly after the initial split between private schools in BR to discuss a split from LHSAA. Mainly 2-3a schools attended.

I think the biggest question would be the regular game schedule not the playoffs. Some areas would have a hard time putting together a full schedule of non-select teams without having to significantly increase travel. I think logistically it will be harder than people think.

Absolutely, if you remember I'm pretty sure Lusher didn't go to playoffs because they just didn't have to funds to travel. It's not easy.

If teams like winnfield and kinder worked as hard as JT Curtis and the Patriots then maybe they could compete

What round of the playoff did Opelousas High beat Curtis in back in the 90s? Sorry, fuzzy memory, don't know exactly which year.
