Dakich was extremely annoying. He kept complaining about how KY was playing. He kept talking as if he was coaching them up. Very bad analyst IMO.

Sorry but I completely disagree. He stated fact that several of the UK players were not giving effort and praised LSU for their energy, hustle, etc. I thought it was refreshing to hear an announcer call it like he saw it. Most of the time all these guys do is heap praise on prima donnas. Do you think you'd ever hear Vitale say stuff like that? In no way did I take it as a slight to the way LSU played. In fact, the Tigers played with a lot of heart and grit and that helped to make it pretty obvious which team wanted it more.

I agree - at one point Randle made a half arse effort and scored on the block - he made a comment, something to the affect that if he made that effort everytime down the floor no one could hang with him. I thought it was a very odd comment to make particularly with the way our boys were playing?

Dakich talked like he was a personal friend of the Kentucky coach and constantly referred to him by his first name. He continuously praised Calapari as a coach and said things like that was the perfect way to play a zone and every coach in America should use it as a teaching aid, even as Kentucky was getting it's head handed to it by the Tigers.

He liked Hickey and gave him a lot of praise but guess what his number one reason was? Hickey was from Kentucky. Not that Johnny Jones had done a good job coaching him. All night it was the Kentucky players were great because Calapari had made them that way or the Kentucky players were bad because they weren't doing what Calapari wanted.

One of the worst displays of cronyism on national tv since Dick Vitale's glory days of sucking up to Bobby Knight and Mike Krzyzewski.
