We're paying the guy 11M for 25 minutes per game?

Admittedly we have no idea how close to healthy he is. We legitimately seem to be trying to win, and I'm starting to wonder if Jrue/Ryno will be back this year when I initially thought "no way in hell".

Regardless, the way Monty spreads his minutes is somewhat baffling. I've said it before, you bring him in at the 3min mark in the 1st and 3rd, he has to play 15min stretches in a row just to make it to the 30 mark. 15 minute stretches hardly seem smart if he isn't 100% so I'm really not sure what the strategy is.

It'd be better to bring him in at the 7-8 minute mark, let him take a breather to start the 2nd/4th with EG on the floor, and bring him back in during the official timeout in the 2nd/4th.

That's how I'd do it. I don't like the idea of Tyreke being on his 13-15th minute on the floor during the most important part of the games.

I tend to agree with bringing him in around the 6 minute mark but I can sort of see the later entry as defensible- a few lengthy breaks in there. He comes in at 3, gets a quarter TO, then 9min TO, sit him right before the 6min TO, bring him back shortly after to finish the half. That isnt happening, but it could work.

If I recall correctly when they had all 5 guys healthy, they were getting about 20 mpg together. We can quibble with the timing but that is decent enough rotation management given the bench limitations.

I think they over estimated their faith in small ball and the defensive abilities of Evans. He's got some bad habits to break on that end
