I began several months ago. I don't eat for 24 hour intervals two days a week. I'll have a cup of coffee and nothing else. Any other OTers abstain from eating? What are your patterns like?

intermittent fasting is more along the lines of eating for 4 hours and fasting for 20.

or eating all food in a 8 hour period and fasting for 16.

not going entire days without food...

Uh..No..when you do eat the body will tend to want to store more fat to make up for your fasting periods... ... you may lose some weight , but become skinnyfat

If you are trying to lose weight

You will lose more weight by eating 6-8 small meals every day and.......

getting off your lazy arse and working out

To quote Will Smith when asked what he ate to get in perfect physical shape for "I Am Legend":

"You can eat whatever you want when you run 5 miles everyday.."

Sounds like you're in the beginning stages of anorexia

I've done it for roughly a year and a half and love it. Typically start eating in the late afternoon and have my last meal right before bed.

Saw a documentary about an Australian bloke who did a veggie and fruit juice fast for 60 days. It was interesting (kind of).

My friend could never eat and then go drink. It made him too full and he would throw up. So from Thursday to Saturday in college, he wouldn't eat a single thing and live off booze. Then come Saturday after the bars closed, he would just eat tons of food.

I guess that's some intermittent fasting

I fast for 21 days once a year, liquids only. After the first three or four, its a snap. Beef, Chicken Broth, smoothies, fruit juices and tons of water.
