Lots of delusion in that post. Not a matchup in this game that I give LSU the edge on with the way UK has hit their stride recently.

Horrible matchup for the Tigers. Caliari is the king of dribble pentration, big guards vs little guards......I see us in foul trouble down low in first 10 mins. Then Cats coast to easy win 12-18 pts.

[quote]Twins can only hit wide open shots.

LSU is good at giving players wide open shots, just ask Bama's Hale.

Damn, is she possesed or someone knocking her off?

On a serious note, upsets are possible. Hopefully, this is one of them.

Their only losses have been on the road to some good teams. Mich St and Baylor were big games played at neutral venues and losses to UNC and Arky were played in hostile environments. I think they are tested and getting better each game.

Lee doesn't get many minutes so, I'm guessing that you meant Young.

Well, living in Lexington surely makes you an expert. I lived in Lexington at one time so, I know this UK team is not as bad as you endorse.

This UK team is getting better and will make a deep a run in the tourney. The Harrison twins are taking the angles and driving to the basket which has been leaving for some easy finishes at the rim. I expect them to use their size and 4-5 different combos to attack our smaller guards. Alex might be playing the best ball on the team right now. He is only seeing about 20 mpg and scoring double digits on limited shots.

I do agree that rebounding is the key for both teams. LSU will have to shoot it well for this to be a close game.

Yeah, I did mean Young. I have dyslexia with those two, I don't know why. I grew up in Richmond, though I haven't lived there for over 30 years. I try to keep up with KY BB, somewhat. I agree that they seem to be coming together, and I think they likely beat LSU by between 5 - 10, but if they are vulnerable it will be because of poor shooting. It would be fun to see Hawkins vs. Hickey some tonight (or tomorrow)

If Cleveland st can hang with them why can't we. I certainly don't think UK is bad but they can play bad. Sounds to me like you all have give up already. And I would think I've watched more UK games than any of you all this year considering Ive watched every game but calipari does not have dribble penetration guards. The Harrison twins are role players with a big role of course but James young and Randle are the scores. UK can be beaten. Perhaps I may have stretched it a little but UK is good. But according to you all we have already lost.

LSU seems to be getting respect from KY fans. This is from KentuckySportsRadio:

quote:

LSU has two really good bigs in Johnny O’Bryant and freshman Jordan Mickey, who was named to the Wayman Tisdale Watch List for best freshman of the year, along with Julius Randle and James Young. Cal called O’Bryant and Mickey “two of the better big guys in our league” Monday and said that Mickey is their go-to scorer: “Every time they need a basket, it is like a shot goes up and he is tipping it in or doing something good.” Willie Cauley-Stein likened the two to Tennessee’s Jarnell Stoke and Jeronne Maymom, who pushed him around during the game in Lexington over a week ago. Willie said that he was ready to “step up to the challenge” against LSU’s bullying bigs, especially Mickey: “Absolutely. Hearing about him is going to make you step up. Anybody in that position would step up and try to prove themselves.”

Randle said he’s played against Mickey and Jarell Martin before, and for Kentucky to come out of Baton Rouge with a win, they’re going to have to continue their good defensive habits and “stick together” in a hostile environment:

“We got to stick together. If we’re going to survive, we got to stick together. It’s kind of that feeling that brings out competitive nature.”

Keep kicking it out to the perimeter when you’re triple teamed, too, Julius.

lsu wins if they take care of the ball, control the tempo, play with maximum effort and energy for 40 minutes, and hope uk misses open looks. they will try and get to the rim plenty so we'll need some of those athletic recovery plays by mickey, martin, johnny to protect the rim. going to have to play our best perimeter d of the year.
