Ya, wasn't the guy who was killed hammered too? If I recall correctly, she just accepted her son was just as much at fault as Brent was and probably would have died if he had driven instead or something like that.

180 is still pretty damn light though.

Would her son have left the scene of the accident, with Brent still alive inside the car and pleading for help?. . . Because, if memory serves, that's what Brent did.

Actually, the toxicology report on Brown showed he wasn't legally drunk. If he'd been driving and killed Brent, he probably wouldn't have gone to trial.
