Captain and Tennille divorcing after 39 years of marriage...

I guess love did NOT keep them together. Maybe they each decided after all this time that is was time to shop around? Or maybe they just weren't making lots of crazy muskrat love like they used to do back in the day. Maybe for old times sake tonight, he will do it to her one more time...

After being married 39 years, you shouldn't need to divorce. You should just be able to walk out "time served."

The article mentions the Captain's health. I'm wondering if the divorce will allow him to medical coverage at a better rate than if married. Maybe he will quality for Medicaid if divorced. But, he is over 65, he should get Medicare, but what if they didn't pay into SS and Medicare throughout their careers??
