I watched Scott Manley do it and it looked pretty simple. So far I've just smashed rockets together and killed several recruits. I did just learn there are keys for firing the RCS thrusters to propel the ship, that may work better than using the big engines.

he pretty much makes everything look simple.

That guy downloaded new planets and there was one called "Unlandable" that was the size of Gilly and spinning rapidly (for a planet) and it's orbit around the sun was something like every 20 days. Not only did he get an interaction with it but he landed on it. All the while it looked like the easiest thing in the world.

I read that he worked on a PhD in astrophysics for several years before being asked to work on KSP.

yeah docking is all about RCS, watch a few different tutorials on youtube. Seeing it a couple different ways may help you visualize it a little better. Docking is still what I consider to be the hardest aspect of the game. Took me longer to be proficient in it than landing pretty much on top of previous landings on planets/moons.

I scrapped my space program this past weekend and started from scratch with a new set of rules, mainly no dead Kerbals.
So far so good. Four Mun landings and one Minmus landing. I'm aborting landings and bringing back my Kerbal unless I know everything is perfect.
I sent up a ship to the Mun with four Kerbals in four seperate landers. Got 3 down and back. Had to rescue the fourth using an unmanned ship with an empty command pod.
Put a science probe around Duna last night.
I do have Bill in orbit around Kerban with no fuel. Gonna go get him tonight.
After that, I'll probably do a bunch of unmanned missions to grab science until I get the Mainsail. After that, gonna start back with manned missions to the planets.
I really enjoy scrapping my program and starting over now and then.

Is there an easier way to get all the mun biomes rather than launching a new rocket for everyone?
I build a large rocket (man or unmanned) and attach four simple landers to it. Put the large ship in orbit around the Mun and then one by one, decouple them and take them down to the Mun in different areas.
I especially like doing this for distant planets to rack up science quickly. I'll cart out four unmanned probes to Jool for instance, and hit Jool and it's moons in one trip.

I just watched Gravity for the first time. That is basically how 9/10 of my missions go.
Stray rockets hitting space stations.
Debris everywhere.
Lots of casualties.
Kerbonauts lost to the blackness of space due to EVA gone wrong.
Rockets smashing into each other.
Reentering atmosphere on a hope and a prayer.
Landing in a firestorm of rocket parts and not knowing if your parachute is going to work.
Sounds like just another day in the Kerbal Space Program.

You know there is a screenshot button in the game or if you run through steam you can use the steam button.

started playing this again for the first time since right after it went on sale on steam for the first time. really wanting to stick to it this time because it looks so damn interesting and fun.
currently trying to land on mun for the first time ever :/
