WWTDOBD? Neighbors expect every boat to slow down when passing their camp

A couple lots down at the camp I have some neighbors with a house boat. They just bought it and they yell at every boat that passes and the son and I got into it a little a few weeks ago when I was coming back in from fishing. Its not a no wake zone and I feel that they should have known that a house boat rocks some when boats pass.
WWTDOBD? Tell him to frick off and continue going 60mph past his camp or putt past him before I get on it?
ETA: I did laugh my arse off this afternoon when ole boy comes FLYING past us in his Skeeter going 70+. Mom, Dad, Son and his wife all come running out with fists in the air

Slow down to half throttle so your wake is even bigger.

Sounds like they need a hoist, or at least some proper fenders.

Here's what you do since they are assholes. If they weren't assholes, like a nice elderly couple, I wouldn't suggest it. Anyway, get at least 3 people in your boat (the more the better), make everyone get in the back of the boat, ride by at 18-20mph. That will throw the biggest wake.

I think you a big a-hole and you should slow down for this lil fellas houseboat even thought you no he should have known what he got into on said canal. That guys son may hand it to you never no cause you cant judge a book but what do i know

Like has been said already. Since they're neighbors I'd keep the peace all the while stoking the fires between them and other boaters. Drink beer and keep video camera close by.

Slow down right about the time they run out, drop trolling motor and troll over and start casting 1oz Mr Champs at their grill. Every time you hit it, yell, PewPewPew

If your camp is that close you're going to be slowing down soon anyway, why not do it 30 seconds sooner. I passed on one camp because the neighbors were azzholes, it can ruin your frame of mind.

Happens to me a lot. I do water studies a couple of times a year on the gulf, and there's one house boat that gives us hell. I mean, if you live on the main channel, on a river/bay, don't get pissed when boats drive by. After a couple of years, we just ignored them and do our work. Still pisses me off though.

They just haven't pissed off the right person yet, and when they do, the next time you pass the houseboat it may be half submerged. That's usually what the pirates around here'll do.

A trimmed out bass boat leaves less wake than one at half throttle. He's obviously seen the well trimmed one; just show him the half throttle one. If he ask for you to slow down even more, politely decline the offer.
