I've said nothing untrue about ULL. It is not a better school. I'm not bashing, I'm just stating a fact. It might be absurd for that to be my reasoning, but it is not bashing.

It's funny seeing cajun fan make fun of another school's attendance. Not counting Southern they will average around 25,000 next year and for an area with the population the size of Acadiana that's pretty weak

25,000 avg Acadiana

vs

5,000 avg New Orleans, Metairie, Kenner, West Bank, Northshore

....Yeah....

They're misguided if they think their fight is with us at this point. That issue comes down to ULM, Tech, and the other UL system schools.

No cajunese even mcneese outdrawn them. Honestly though does it frustrate you that more people in Acadiana dont go to your games?

No, I'll take averaging 25k over the 10k we used to average back in the day.

If you really think about it, averaging 25k as a mid-major school is pretty good. If you look at attendance figures from schools in CUSA and the MAC, they aren't better or not by much.

I can't tell you how many ULL students I've met that come to Baton Rouge for every LSU game. And many of them have never even been to a game at their own school.

Tulane has a lot to offer a conference like the Big 12 if its football team

I'm laughing because this has potential to really upset a certain group of people.

definitely, but I'm not as concerned with the quality and size of the program as getting the students, our future alumni, in the mix. It is all about the stadium and atmosphere...a college football game played on a beautiful afternoon in uptown new Orleans is hard to beat. It is going to be fantastic.

Wasn't my intent but I know what you're saying.

Obviously that would be a long way off, but I don't think it's untrue.

Absolutely agree. Plenty of people (myself included) with no ties to Tulane that had no interest in spending their Saturday afternoon in an empty Superdome would love to catch a game at the new stadium. Evening/night games (not conflicting with LSU) could also bring in lots of people.
