There were five known interviews: Chris Scelfo, Bill Clark, Brian Jenkins, Eddie Gran, and Jim Grobe. Scelfo is the only one that has me scratching my head.

It wouldn't surprise me if Scelfo's a productive coach his 2nd time around. He didn't know what he was doing at all when he came to Tulane (he was hired because his brother's a big TU donor and he convinced Cowen to hire him). In his first couple of years his recruiting was pretty good, as he was able to recruit off of 12-0, but he couldn't coach. But he got better as a coach and we'd have been good in 2005. But he lost all heart after Katrina and punted the job away (on third down, actually). I thought he was a little on the lazy side too.
