Scooba has a nice field for a JC, and a really good football program. In a two week stretch this season helicopters from both MSU and UA landed on the end of their field for Mullen and Saban to catch practice and "talk" to potential recruits.
Coach Sullivan was colorful and tough. To impress Bear Bryant back in those days was doing something. My opinion is that if a helicopter landed on his field when he was there, he would have told them to get the hell off his grass.
