I hope and wish the best for Johnson he is and always will be a Tiger.

That being said just another LSU player not seeing the big picture. Johnson more than the rest if he came back and had the break out year that everyone has always said he could and should, definitely could have improved his draft status because it only takes one year's worth of performance to do that on the DL. Just ask our recent DL-men.

If he is picked 3rd round or below the odds say he will not be in the NFL for his 2nd contract. But it improves over 50% if he is in the 2nd round. I wish I had a link to the article I just read but it gave all the numbers on what happens depending on where you are picked "what round" in the NFL and the odds as to how long you will actually be in the league. And 3rd round or below the percentages of you making it to your second contract are very slim.

Of all the early entrants "Turner & Freak" have the best possibility of moving up dramatically in the draft next year if they were to have good years in college next year. I hate to see these players that really, really have a great chance to be successful in the NFL cut there college career's short because they see money that really isn't there in the long run.

NFL scouts already take that into account when projecting these guys in the draft so any bump, if at all, would have been negligible. Actually could have come back and hurt his drafts status as likely as helping it.
