I just looked on expedia.
Houston to Dubai to Instanbul to Houston on Turkish Airlines at $1015 roundtrip.
shockingly cheaper than I expected.

IAH to IST is $612 RT.
Compare that with IAH to FRA, the direct on Luftansa is $1,134, while stopping over in IST on Turkish is only $831. Not sure how Turkish can be so cheap. Is this some deal they're running? New routes to some US cities?
