Okay... Someone help me settle this argument.
Was there or was there not a Wienerschnitzel on Nicholson near Aster next to that Greek and Lebanese Cafe? It wasn't in business, but the building was there!!! Can someone confirm this? It is now painted bright blue and is becoming a "chicken and waffles" place. I know there is a Wienerschnitzel on highland, but I know for a fact a Wienerschnitzel building was on Nicholson.

Never in my history. Weinerschnitzel has always been on Highland road near Roosevelt.

The building in question here was once a seafood market which was mostly closed as I remember it, but would occasionally open. Around '06 Big Jake's BBQ opened there (and was awesome, but is now in St. Gabriel). It was replaced by Tigris Deli, which had pretty good po-boys and seafood, and philly cheese steaks...and now it is opening as a chicken and waffles place. Word on the street is the owner of the property is a real pain to deal with, hence the short tenure of any businesses located there.

There was one a loooong time ago near campus (70's) but I'm pretty sure it was not on Nicholson.

It was on Highland and became the "29 cent Hamburger Stand". Then they raised it a dime and it was the "39 cent Hamburger Stand." Anyone else remember that?

The one on Highland's been there for decades.

No way they would have built another one of those shite stands just one street over. There's no need for it.

So it's doubtful there was ever one on Nicholson.

that place on nicholson has been many different things over the last several years. I remember buying boiled crawfish there in 2005 from some asian people. It was a couple of other things before and after that. Now it has been empty for the last 2-3 years and i only see it used as parking on gamedays.

Wienerschnitzel has always been on highland.

Way back in the day, there was one on Highland. Used to make the best chili cheese dogs.
