Weird deal today.....
I went and saw his wife and kids this last weekend. MrsEJW told me to go through his hunting clothes and take what I wanted. Josey always had excellent taste in camo and he and I were close to the same size (depending on what diet he was on at the time ).
Anyway.... I took a set of old school mossy oak camo and realized the pants were missing a button on them earlier this week. I picked up some clothes from the cleaners this morning and asked the girl there if they could sew a button on for me. The girl there hasn't been there in a while and I thought she had left and found employment elsewhere. Come to find out, her dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer the day Josey passed away (12-2) and he lost his battle on NYE. She told me she had taken the month of December off to be with him and fixed my britches for free when I told her how I acquired them. I left there numb for a few minutes and simply smiled after making sense of it knowing the Big Kid is still watching over.
