Most people said the same thing this year, after losing all of those defensive players. Most thought we wouldnt miss a beat, "RELOAD" !!!! Its not realistic.

Yet the team was only a few bad plays away from beating Ole Miss and Georgia. Potentially ending up in the national championship.

And the defense finished up ranked 15th in the country, 3rd in the SEC. So the drop off wasn't all that bad. Plus plenty of players got solid experience. With other talented freshman coming in to compete.

So we actually have good reasons to be optimistic considering those things.

i believe in him and wont bash him solely based on the outback. that being said, i think harris really pushes he and rettig. harris is an EE. i think cam works on his mechanics and a helluva battle is coming this spring/fall. may the best man win

I am not confident of our QB situation but then again I haven't been since Jamarcus Russell. The fact is we have won a lot of games with average qb's. I personally think the game's in the SEC are won running and stopping the run. I feel like if we were knew our identity as a running team during the ole miss game the outcome would have been different. You need to be efficient passing the ball but our program is and always has been a running dominate attack. I think Jennings is somewhere between the last minute of Arkansas and the Iowa game as far as what he brings. It will be his position to lose and I think he is more than capable to win any game. But like most teams there are a handful of potential losses that we can lose. The one thing he has proven is that he can make a game winning drive. That is not something to be taken lightly. You can see the obvious gameplan in the Iowa game. The coaches were very conservative and didn't put him in position for mistakes. I would like for him to have had more pocket presence but that comes with time. If we can keep our oline mostly intact we will have a damnstrong football team. There are the 5-6 games that we will need to play well to win but we certainly can win them with Jennings or any other QB. We went to the championship game with JJ/LEE. I doubt Jennings is that much of a drop off.

every off season we get these comments but they're never offset by the converse logic
