I seriously believe we have a plausible shot at any game next year, regardless of who starts under center.
Most people said the same thing this year, after losing all of those defensive players. Most thought we wouldnt miss a beat, "RELOAD" !!!! Its not realistic.

Now, one thing we can say is that we have won big in the past with great defense and very little offense. That might be the solution next year.

Yet the team was only a few bad plays away from beating Ole Miss and Georgia. Potentially ending up in the national championship.

And the defense finished up ranked 15th in the country, 3rd in the SEC. So the drop off wasn't all that bad. Plus plenty of players got solid experience. With other talented freshman coming in to compete.

So we actually have good reasons to be optimistic considering those things.

The defense ended up being pretty good. We lost to UGA on the road before all of the injuries, 11-2 Alabama, and Ole Miss. The Ole Miss game was the only major frick up. Considering that we replace UGA with Kentucky this year and get Bama at home, I'd say it's not unrealistic that LSU has a better season.

Have you seen what Auburn did this year on offense? Marshall is no real passing threat, but he can catch you in a lull and hit you up for 250-300 yards in a game. With Hill(hopefully), Magee, Hilliard returning, that's 2337 yards and 29 TDs. Add in Fournette, and we should rush for over 250 a game. Even in 2009 JJ finished with 2166 passing yards 17 TDs, 171 rush yards 2 TDs in 12 games.

Even if he goes by just what JJ did, he should finish 2346 pass yards 185 rush yards, 20 total TDs
