Rotten Tomatoes can be misleading because it's just a percentage of how many critics gave a favorable review, not how much they actually enjoyed the film.
For example, I recently watched My Beautiful Laundrette, which has 100% on RT. It was good, but not something that I have much interest of seeing again. On the other hand, there are numerous films in 70/80 percentages that I enjoy much more and feel are more interesting films.
