I use it somewhat in determining which movie to see in a theater only because movie tickets are expensive. However, I don't use it at all when renting movies or looking at Netflix, Amazon, etc.

this. tix aren't cheap and the good theaters are around me are a hassle with parking and big crowds, so i am very selective about what i see in theater. i rely heavily on rotten tomato.
