I don't understand why you wouldn't just bring in a huge backhoe and dig up that whole area

The finale sucked. It was mostly commercials. And I don't understand how you can just lose the readings of gold and silver.

I cracked up when the diver dove backwards into the swamp and hit his air tank on his back on the ground. Didn't even get half way into the water. I mean just go ahead and lay down and start digging.

IIRC the thing is like 200 ft deep and they have serious flooding issues. So it's not that simple

I called it about 2 episodes ago... It COMPLETELY switched from more of a documentary, to their typical "reality" bullshite.

There is no fricking way that swamp is 200ft deep. The money pit is 200ft deep, but that is not where they are playing now.
With the amount of $$$ they supposedly are investing in this, there are a lot more ways to get to the bottom of something.
Bring in truck loads of gravel and where they are walking on the edges of swamp, so that a backhoe can more easily navigate. Get to the spot and just dig. Hell, 5-10 scoops from a backhoe will have that little area dug up and you will know if something is there or not.

I want to know the worth of that Iron? coin. They didn't really give that much information on it.

the Hidden Treasure of Jesse James "
That was good and they were actually finding stuff.
The land owner may have kicked them off after that aired.

Coin looked fake to me. I saw an eight on it and it is supposed to be a spanish coin. It looks to me like they will claim that it is a piece of eight. I have not seen a piece of eight before but I highly doubt it has an eight on it.

Even easier would be to get an amphibious excavator. There are tons of them down here. Get one with a 60ft reach and go to town. Sift through the bucket loads and keep digging till you hit bottom.

Yeah, just seems to me, you've got millions invested, how much would it cost to rent one for a few days and truly drudge that area
Maybe its harder than I am thinking... But I'm not a treasure hunter.
