Forgot about this show. I remember reading about this in elementary school in the 70s. Was always intrigued by it.

I think Bigfoot will be found before the "treasure" at Oak Island is found.

Legend says the secret will be revealed after 7 people die. I think they're up to 5 or 6 now.

And the mystery grows deeper with what looks like an elephant tusk sticking out if the water! Crazy!

Is this the island they've been digging on for 300+ years? And always finding strange things every 20 feet or so?

Pretty crazy that we don't have the technology to get this treasure up from the pits.

We probably do but there's no concrete proof of what's done there, if anything, or even how deep it is. Not worth the risk.

It's One-Eyed Willie's East Coast loot.

The templars buried the holy grail there.

The initial episode moved at a fairly rapid clip. As long as we're privy to new discoveries each week this is going to be a must watch for me.

Someone put in of a great deal of effort to construct that pit and protect it.

Pretty sure there had been some property wrangling for a few decades. Last real effort was in the 70's.

I'm pretty sure if anything were found we'd know about it by now, so I didn't bother.

I (guiltily) follow Giorgio Tsoukalos' Twitter and people were asking him about Oak Island. He said he thought the Ark of the Covenant or the "Manna Machine" was buried at the bottom.

Started watching it last night, but fell asleep when they started pumping water out... I had never heard the story before. I just spent the last 30 min reading up on it and I will say it is damn intriguing.

The question is, is it 100% confirmed that wood planks were indeed found every 10ft down? Or is that all just he said she said?

Yeah there's wood beams every 10 or 20 feet and they found a stone tablet with some writing on it at around 40 feet.

Yeah, I read all of that, but is that all documented or is it an old wives tale?

Like I know the tablet has disappeared or whatnot, but do they have the wood beams around as proof? Just curious
