It means he can go straight to LSU without doing anything else. If he signs with Miami then he's doing it at risk because he hasn't achieved that final credit he needs to enroll. He can still sign with them and finish it off this semester or during the summer before he enrolls. It's not hard to understand.

Sorry. Your writing was difficult to follow. But you are right, its not that hard to understand, he cant enroll in Miami because he doesn't have the credits. The only people making a big deal out of this are him and Miami, who has told him he cant enroll.

Well why would he de-committ before any decision was made? Would you not just wait til Golden made a decision?

Correct. If he's so intent on going to Miami then he can just finish it off this semester and join the team in August.

We'll just have to wait and see what he says now. This will probably hurt us with Thomas too with Golden staying.

Hurt us with Thomas? Thomas is committed to Miami. There's really no use worrying about losing someone that another team already has.

Some guys have it pegged correctly.
He was gonna decommit regardless of Golden. The kid may have said different but he's been saying he was firm with Miami for months while everyone has kept saying the LSU threat was real (except Miami people but they have the worst insiders in the country). At the Army game it was reported by quite a few very respected analysts that his decommitment was imminent . All this before the Golden stuff.
He may go to Miami but none of this current stuff is Golden related. Weve been on Valentine all year and he's been high on us most of that time. His visit was scheduled months ago

Don't know where the Thomas stuff comes from. Thats just wishful thinking even if Golden had left. Bama and FSU would get him before us.

Thomas said if he left Miami, LSU would be the first place he would go.

One name that hasn't been spoken of much in regards to LSU is Miami commitment Chad Thomas. The 6-4, 230-pound defensive end is on the nation's best high school team, Booker T. Washington, Miami, Fla., and has been committed to the Hurricanes for some time.

At the Under Armour All-America Combine this past January, Thomas shared with me that if he were to leave the state of Florida, LSU would be one of his first choices. According to sources, Thomas has been receptive to LSU over recent weeks and there seems to be a level of interest from Thomas that warrants the Tigers looking into. They would love to add an edge presence at defensive end in this class and Thomas is certainly worth keeping an eye on.

With GW bolting to UF and the 2 to the NFL, it certainly doesnt hurt our odds.

Neither does 4 LSU DL in the playoffs. Logan, Dorsey, RJF, Jackson. LSU has that fact covered.

On paper we look real good. The U have a ton of DLs committed. But some DLs want to stay close to home and some dont.

Because his decision to decommit had nothing to do with Golden.

Well you said:

Which is different from the article that said:

Come on people. He is either stupid (which I doubt) or he isn't going to Miami.

Golden staying is not a factor it doesn't appear or he would not have decommited until later after Golden's departure was solidified.

It all has to do with qualifying. Close race for him between Miami and LSU just got flipped because of the extra crap required of him to get into Miami.
