I would hardly call $500k a year, guaranteed, a marginal difference. You could argue that it is for the franchise, but not an individual.

Just divide signing bonus over the life of the contract. All first year salaries are based on signing bonus + rookie minimum 405k.

The chances a 6th rounder can actually become a 2nd rounder are quite slim.
