Jordan Shipley

Now that I've seen them both in person I think it's actually a legitimate comparison. The route running ability is almost identical. But I think Quinn is more athletic. He can get vertical quickly. Build wise Shipleys upper body was thicker. & Quinn's lower body is thicker. I think Shipley may have been just a tad but quicker in & out of routes but the bigger difference is Quinn can stretch vertically because of his athleticism.

Thing about this kid is he is no drama. No limelight... Just business... Kid is a gym rat. Comes from football legacy. Has so much heart. Chose to play the Army game over UA because he wanted to honor a cousin who died serving in mid-East. Does not wait for the spotlight. Commits early. Breaks all records and does not get a 5th * YET and doesn't seem to care. He is ALL TIGERS ALL DAY!

I have watched this kid for quite some time. His family is all LSU. His high school teachers tell me that he is some kind of stand up kid.

Not just a white kid... a GINGER! =D Love this young man.. When he does get on the field, watch out!

I am more excited for him than any other receiver we have recruited this year.

Quinn is gonna make these recruiting services look completely stupid for having him rated so low. He's been straight embarrassing defenders since he was a freshman in high school

So you're saying this kid can run (fast), he can shake people, and get this he can jump (high). All while being white???

Inconceivable!!!!!

So you are telling me that he is better than not only Noil, but also Dupre, CRob, GW3, Leonard Fournette.....
Some of you guys are losing it

I understand it's unrealistic to say without a doubt that Quinn becomes an impact starter from day one, I agree. There is also way too many great players in the state this year to say he's the best.

You're also right about the state title game against Rummel. Not coincidentally, DeSean Smith had one of his best games. He also had a tough game against New Iberia this year. But that's it. Two bad games in four years. I've watched many of his games, and he dominated against double coverages often against the best in the state.

Noil is a terrifically talented player, but the last game I saw him play in, he didn't look too great. Happens to everybody.

He's great and all but Speedy is a better WR than him.

i'll take that bet

quinn is also identified gifted, so not only will i root for the BHS in him, but i'll root for the "smart as shite" side of him

but seriously, he picked up a complicated high school offense and dominated as a true freshman. he has all the physical ability you want out of a shifty/speed WR. he also runs crisp routes and has great hands. add in his intelligence, and there is little reason to think he won't play a great deal next year

we don't exactly have a ton of established/great WRs to keep him on the bench

Id rather have Quinn than Speedy easily. People act like this guy is Dannny Amendola. Dude is a legit 4.3 guy with size. He has the best hands of any HS player in the country and like you said his biggest attribute is probably his route running. I think Speedy will be a really good player but give me Quinn. He's a can't miss.
