If they were just changing the oil there was no way for them to actually see the inside of the throttle body. So unless they pulled your air intake off and looked...they're feeding you a load of crap.

That being said, if you have any kind of mechanical ability, you can clean the TB in less than 30min.

Seafoam wont do damage and isnt methanol based. its petro based.

Most vehicles over 50k miles will gain mpg by using. only needs done every 3mo.
