Educate me on Colt "Snake" Revolvers

I've decided this will be the next addition to my collection. I'm interested in the history and caliber details of the various models....

Ex - Anaconda was a later Colt offering, was only in .44 Mag, Cobra was the first Colt snake gun, etc.

As many books have been written on Colt's venerable history one would think that a volume would have been written on its revolvers, but I can't find anything on the topic.

There's not as much out there as you'd think, considering the "wow" factor of those guns.

They have cult-like followings. Expect to pay a premium. Like a $1500-$2000 premium for a Python.

Anaconda (.44),

Boa (Python barrel mated to a Trooper Mk V frame)
- Grizzly ( Python barrel mated to a Colt King Cobra frame) (.357),

Cobra (double action short barrel; .38 special, .32 Colt New Police, .22 LR

Diamondback (.22 LR, .22 WMR, .38 Special)

King Cobra (.357 medium frame),

Python (.357, large frame),

Viper (Cobra in .38 Special; dicontinued in '77, same year of introduction)
