Vanilla as a scent blocker

I've come across a number of bow hunters that swear by coating their clothes and corn in vanilla. Has anyone here had any success with this?

I've found that almost everytime I shite near my stand, I kill a nice one.
But, I eat a lot of corn and pecans.

Play the wind
/thread
I have had deer under my stand without a care in the world and I reeked of Tide and shampoo/bodywash. Wind was in my favor
I would imagine that Vanilla would work just like any other natural scent. I'm a firm believer that artificial scents don't throw deer on alert. Human body odor is what sends up the red flags

I use it on occasion. I bought a bottle of pure vanilla abstract poured it in a spray bottle and filled rest with water. My Grandaddy taught me that trick when I was 7. He's killed more deer than anyone I know.

I laughed my arse off at my dad when he told me this
since then I've had many deer w/in 20yds down wind of me never even think twice about me being there. He shot a bruizer of a 9pt down wind of him while using it
Tinks Nose Jammer .
Correct IMO

I have had good luck with it through the years...smells a lot Berger than spraying piss all over yourself, too!

I think it works as a scent blocker have carried some for years. As an aside had some wasps that moved into a shooting house last weekend, had nothing to kill them with. The vanilla mixture I had in my spray bottle killed them dead!

So what are yall using with vanilla in it? Are we talking just something with vanilla scent or the cooking extract? I've never heard of this.
