Kirchhoff isn't that great. He was supposed to be a center back as well as defensive mid but Pep played Diego Contento at center back ahead of Kirchhoff. I don't think a rational person would start him over Jones.

If he was to go to the the MLS without a DP contract, D.C. United own the right of first refusal by way of the allocation order.
