i don't begrudge a player leaving early. but some of them that leave early are clearly getting bad advice; they leave early, do not get drafted and then do not have a degree to fall back on.

that is a waste for everyone involved. there needs to be a more effective way of determining a guys value at the draft before he decides. these guys that don't make the nfl have spent 3 years at college and are now on the side of the road. it's a shame and they are getting ready to realize there is no free lunch. not that ego won't make it, he prdobably will but a number of our guys don't.

I bothered to do some research. The average NFL career is roughly three years. According to SI and USA today articles, 80% of the players in the NFL have serious financial problems within two years of their retirement. All that glitters is not gold.
