Not surprising. Leftists/Collectivists must have a Dear Leader of the State to admire and follow.

Individualists typically are distrusting of State leader/politician types.

Collectivist votes all went to Obama and Clinton, herd type mentality.

Clinton's won it over 10 years in a row, I kinda think it's just inertia at this point

What difference does it make?

For real though, how dumb do those voters have to be to vote HC as most admired after the Benghazi debacle? I mean that takes a level of stupidity that rivals Hillary's level of incompetence. Both are sky high!

I'm fricking crying in my office!

Also, here's the problem with this "poll":

quote:

Gallup said its data came from a poll of 1,031 adults between December 5 and 8, and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

That is quite a sample there.

That's like comparing a hair on my nut sack to the rest of my body and giving the hair a favorable edge.

Where in the heck do they find these people? It's apparent that they only travel in the same circles with the same type people and aren't exposed to anything else.

Exactly the point I was trying to make. A miniscule fraction of people in a country this big decide who is "most admired."

Get fricking real.

Hillary isn't even likable much less a person to be admired. Didn't anyone even see her," what difference does it make" comments?

They only polled the White House staff, the Cabinet, and tourist visiting the White House...

re: Gallup: Most admired man and woman in the US

i do not know how anyone can question the popularity of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton

but I will tell you what I admire the most about these two; in his first public appearance after his first election night "at a news conference in Chicago, Obama said he had spoken with all the living presidents as he prepares to take office in January. Then he smiled and said, "I didn't want to get into a Nancy Reagan thing about doing any seances." Did this while Nancy Reagan was lying in a hospital with a broken hip and had to apologize to her immediately for taking a cheap partisan shot that just happened to be untrue.

And then he goes and appointed Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State and she did hold seances in the Whitehouse.

This is my favorite accomplishment by this duo.

Notably they won with a fairly small minority of votes and their numbers decreased from last year...good news, no?

The same dumb shits that cannt name the Secretary of State or the Vice President are the people ewho make up the majority of this sort of poll. They probably know no other names of people who aren't entertainment stars, but recognize that they have to come up with somebody, anybody with more substance than Miley Cyrus or Tom Cruise. They don't want to look like idiots to the pollster.

But the percentage of those surveyed who choose him as the most admired man fell to 16 percent this year, down from 30 percent in 2012.

The president's job approval rating has dropped during a year marked by a botched healthcare rollout and stalled legislative initiatives at the start of his second term.

Clinton earned the top spot among most admired women for the 12th consecutive year and 18th time overall, more than any other woman in the poll's history.

Fifteen percent of Americans surveyed gave the former first lady and U.S. senator the highest ranking, down from 21 percent who named her as the most admired woman last year, the poll showed.

Gallup said its data came from a poll of 1,031 adults between December 5 and 8, and had a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
