Mine will always be Phil Hartman, with Radner, Farley and Ferrell tied for second.

he was one of only a small handful who could rescue a shitty sketch by simply being in it....

People have named some amazing talents like Eddie Murphy, Bill Murray, John Belushi, etc. but I'll have to go with Phil Hartman based on longevity and his 'contributions' to the show in terms of number of sketches, characters, etc.

Phil Hartman,Darryl Hammond.

Dan Akroyd(sp) was the funniest of the 1st bunch,to me anyways.Gilda Radner was pretty funny.

No disrespect to the many fine comedians listed, but Murray, Akroyd, Belushi, et al, outshine them all.

Phil Hartman is one of my favorites; also really liked Farley and Dennis Miller.

Phil Hartman and Bill Murray come immediately to mind. Kevin Nealon was most underrated. Belushi was best physical comedy. Miller was money on The Desk as was Colin Quinn . I also really liked John Lovitz, Norm McDonald and Mike Meyers. Special shout out to Tim Meadows.
