I've never had any problems with Remington Core-lokt. Shoot well and kill animals well

Me either, but I will not buy Remington any longer. That being said I may have enough corelokt stored up for my 308 that it will last the entirety of my hunting career.

For my wife and son who shoot 308 and 7mm 08 recpectfully, I have purchased the Hornaday customlite ammo. Prior to that I had the Hornaday Super performance 150 gr SST for the wife.
they grouped pretty well for me. I need to sight in with the customlite loads though.

First group before adjusting sight.

Second group adjusted for 1.5" high at 100.

Note we had a hard right to left gusty wind that day.

I switched from Winchester to Hornady SST and have really liked the results.

All those will drop some pork dead in its tracks.

FWIW, my dad's Winchester model 70 shoots Hornady SST's best. Then again, he handloads them to shoot sub-moa. This is the same with all of his deer rifles that he, my brother, and I all shoot.

The only factory rifle ammo he's hunted with in YEARS is .35 Whelan because he cannot get the same velocity with factory powder as Hornady can in their Superformance loads. I'm not talking a small margin either, I'm talking 200-300fps difference. Hornady sure knows how to get some impressive velocities, even if some people aren't pleased with the accuracy.
