Dice just text me back and said he just swapped the GFCI plug with a regular one and it works fine.....I guess I could start there.

Please do not do that. The GFCI could be weak but swap with another like it. I suspect you have a leaky outlet cover and water is getting somewhere.

Take a roof extension cord that can handle the amps. Buy a plugin GFCI and plug it in to another circuit. See what happens.
