Can I ask how these deer are getting certified as 5-1/2 year olds? The only way to be 100% on that is the jaw and teeth. Shoot whatever and call bullshite on whoever tells you different. Anything on the hoof is an educated guess

Odds are they are required to pull a jaw bone, if they have age requirements

My advice is to let it walk if there is any doubt. Can't unshoot one.

I don't even think tooth wear is 100%.

Yeah we have to pull the jawbones out and once a week they send them off to the biologist we hired.
