Got my girls BB guns at age seven. Shotguns at 8 and .243's at 10. Only the oldest hunts (daddy's girl), but they can both shoot, handle and clean guns safely. All 3 women in my house can outshoot me with pistols. I win with rifles and shotguns, but not by much.

My sister and mom had nothing to do with hunting growing up, and my wife gave me a new perspective about my daughter. I hadn't even considered getting her a gun and my wife was like WTF. Glad she did, we had a blast shooting at our pet ducks with her red rider Tuesday. 
I hope she takes to it. She will prob be a better hunter than the boys, much more patient.
