It's the ECONOMY stupid! When you add up the cost of tkts, travel, hotel, food, alcohol etc...it's a pretty big sum that only a few can afford individually. A lot of those tickets get sold to corporations/business who can write them off for tax purposes. Increased cost for everything from food to education plus Christmas spending....there ain't that many folks who would spend that kind of money to go to a bowl game when you can watch it comfortably on HDTV!

Not really. The sentiments of many LSU fans is to "take-off" the bowls in non-special years because they have gone to so many bowls in a row, and are saving their "travel credits" for a special season.

In other words, we be spoiled.

HDTV, TV deals with major networks will continue to murder (nationwide) college football attendance. It will get worse before it gets better.

Not to mention the cost of attending a game, and the PITA parking, etc. is.
